Overview
A trading floor built for big conversations.
Toronto's former Stock Exchange, an art deco landmark on Bay Street, now one of the city's most distinctive event venues.
Opened in 1937, the building was designed by George & Moorhouse with S. H. Maw. Its stone frieze by Charles Comfort shows the Canadian industries whose shares were traded inside. The exchange moved out in 1983, and the building is now part of the Toronto-Dominion Centre. Events take place in its historic spaces, including the 6,000 sq. ft. Trading Floor with its 40-foot ceilings.
