Registration is the starting point for AI Safety Week. It creates your account and lets you receive program releases and event access information. It does not make you a delegate or reserve a seat at individual events.

How it works
How participation works
Step 1
Register your interest. Confirm your email and complete your AI Safety Week profile.
Step 2
Apply as a delegate if you want to be considered for the core delegate program. This is a separate application from registration.
Step 3
If you are approved as a delegate, you join the approved delegate pool. Approval does not register you for individual events.
Step 4
Register for individual events when access is available to you. Public events, delegate events and partner sessions can use different registration routes.
Step 5
Use the confirmation for the specific event as your record that you have a place.
Delegate applications
Apply as a delegate
Approximately 100 delegate places are available for people who want to take part across much of the week and be considered for smaller working sessions and limited-capacity programming.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The application deadline is Oct. 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Delegate places are not based on seniority, a famous employer or a technical background. The short application helps AISF understand how your work or interests connect to the week, what you hope to do while you are here and what perspective or experience you would bring.
Statement of intent · about 150-250 words
Tell us why you would like to participate in AI Safety Week as a delegate. Briefly describe how your work, study or interests connect to AI safety or a closely related field; what you hope to learn, test, contribute or collaborate on during the week; and one perspective, question or area of experience you would bring.
The delegate application opens in your profile once you have registered, confirmed your email and completed the required profile fields.
Delegate approval
Approval is not an event ticket
If you are approved as a delegate, you become part of the approved delegate pool for AI Safety Week. Individual sessions still have their own capacity and registration requirements.
Monday and Tuesday
For Monday and Tuesday limited-capacity programming, AISF will release event registration to people in the approved delegate pool in phases. When you receive access to an event, you must still complete that event’s Luma registration and receive confirmation.
Wednesday
Some Wednesday sessions have specific participation requirements based on their format, capacity and intended outcome. Each event page will explain how access works.
Thursday and Friday
Some Thursday and Friday partner-led programming is closed or uses its own participation process. Delegate status does not automatically provide access to those sessions.
Public events
You can participate without being a delegate
Selected AI Safety Week events are open to people beyond the delegate cohort, subject to capacity and any event-specific registration. The Program page will identify public events as they are released.
Invitations
If you received an invitation
If AISF or a program partner has invited you directly, follow the registration instructions in that invitation. Invitation-based access applies to the events or sessions described in your invitation and does not automatically register you for the full week.
The Hinton Lectures
The Hinton Lectures use separate tickets
The Hinton Lectures take place on Nov. 9, 10 and 11 at the John W. H. Bassett Theatre at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Registering for AI Safety Week does not give you a lecture ticket.
Approved AI Safety Week delegates will receive separate instructions about the delegate ticket offer. A delegate approval is not itself a Hinton Lectures ticket.
