Information

This workshop addresses the question of whether advances in AI could enable unprecedented concentrations of political, economic or coercive power in the hands of governments, corporations or small groups. It opens with an overview of the emerging research on how increasingly capable AI could reshape existing power structures. Participants then make probabilistic forecasts on four to six concrete questions about pathways, developments and early warning signs, and compare their reasoning to surface key uncertainties and the evidence that would change their expectations.

***No prior forecasting experience is necessary.
